Feb 21: Is Google Making Us Stupid? Answer

Note that we will be having class on Monday, March the 14th. I will be gone the rest of that week for a conference (Wednesday March the 16th and Friday March the 18th), but I will be posting outside work for you here. Normal classes will resume on Monday, March the 21st.

We will discuss the balance between Logos and Pathos in those articles.
February 14, 16, 18	Read "Chapter 3: Arguments Based on Character - Ethos" in Everything's an Argument Watch "TIME Announces New Version Of Magazine Aimed At Adults" by The Onion Bring your articles. We will look them over for credibility and begin compiling our notes for Core 2.	Bring two articles you will be using. Research Synthesis Exercise: - Label each of your articles as either primary or secondary sources - Briefly explain each article's purpose in your paper - Evaluate each article's effectiveness in its purpose	MLA Day New Homework: Complete the worksheet on Plagiarism. Read “Chapter 18: Intellectual Property, Academic Integrity, and Avoiding Plagiarism” in Everything’s an Argument Bring Everyday Writer and two new articles from the library. Bring articles to use for sample MLA citation exercise. In class citation exercises. Note: if you need help, here is a list of useful pages in The Everyday Writer.
